Consistently wrong wind wind prediction

I have been using this app for a few years and used to love it (used to being the key word), and I depended on it, as I always found it accurate. The last few months it has been consistently given exaggerated wind prediction. Right at this moment I am off the NJ coast with S winds at 9 kts. while the app is telling me that the wind is 43 kts.
Almost did not leave the marina this morning because of the wind prediction, but luckily didnt trust it.
Really disappointed.
